“Loki” Practicing Weight Pull

This is our Male “Loki”  and Jeff getting ready to practice for the first time. This is also the first time setting up the track and kart. It was a lot of fun to practice for the first time. We met up with another club in our area (Nor Cal Heavy Haulers)  that  is doing weight pull for all breeds. Just a few more things (harness and weight) and we are ready to roll!

Our Club Has Been Sanctioned!

The Nor Cal APBT Coalition, a club which we began forming in May of this year has just received our acceptance letter from the ADBA. We will be hosting a pot luck fundraiser and accepting new members. Please come help support our club and our breed October 26th. We will be hosting this event in the Sacramento area, please check back with us for further information to soon be posted to our blog in the next week or so. We have been working hard in getting our members for a newly forming club in Northern Ca. and have recently sent away for our sanctioning from the ADBA. We started this club in May of 2008 and just received our sanctioning approval! Nor Cal APBT Coalition Hit It’s Goal!

We are proud to announce that the club here in Northern Ca. that we are currently forming has hit it’s goal and have 30 active members as of today! We are thrilled that we are able to go further in our goals and will be sending in our paperwork to apply for our sanction today!! Thank all of you members, friends, and board members in making this happen. We have big things that we are wanting to take place and will be the ONLY ADBA sanctioned club in Ca. to have weight pull events! (we are currently working on our supplies to make this possible)! New Club BLOG

We are still looking for more club members, if you are interested please let us know and we will get you more information!  So far a lot of progress has taken place in order to get our club going! We are very excited!

Our Club is Moving Forward!

This weekend at the Club BBQ we held, we had a lot of fun. It was a hot day but we were able to hang in there and survive the heat! We thank all of those who were able to make it and help support our club.  We are moving forward and were able to establish our board members and enjoyed hearing from Carolyn Chan, the speaker/attorney we had come.  We will be opening our bank account and voting on a name for our club this week and are awaiting a few more membership dues to come in so we can apply for our sanction and we are well on our way! We have made great progress and enjoyed holding our first club gathering, we can’t wait to get our Fun Shows in place. We will be holding conformation and weight pull, which I believe we will be one of the only clubs in California to hold weight pull at this time so we are very excited about that and bringing in people from all over! We are still accepting members if you are interested in being a part of our club!

Club BBQ This Weekend!

We are very excited to host our first club gathering this weekend! We have about 45 people expected to show, that is amazing!! We are glad to have such an amazing turnout and plan on this day being a success! It will be very HOT this day (supposed to hit 100) we will have plenty of water for everyone. We just wanted to let you know for those of you not used to our Redding weather. We can’t wait to meet you all and if anyone has further questions or directions, or have not yet RSVP’d please do so, we want to be well prepared for this day and make sure there is enough food for everyone. Again, the cost will be $5.00 per plate and all proceeds go into our club funds so we can get this club moving along! Thank you all for your interest and we can’t wait to meet all of you!

Northern Ca. Upcoming Club BBQ

May 17th from 12-3 @ Lake Redding Park, on the West Side near the playground we will be hosting our BBQ. Anyone interested in becoming a club member is invited! We will be nominating our board members, having a raffle and collecting membership dues. ($25 for a single member and $35 for a family/spouse member). The charge is $5.00 per plate (this covers food and drinks), all proceeds from this event go back into our club funds. We will also be having Carolyn Chan, attorney & lead counsel in the Aurora, Co. dog ban case come and speak at our bbq. We are pleased to have her as a guest & will all benefit from the information she is going to share with us. If you are interested in coming to this event or have any questions please contact us. We are very excited to being a part of making this happen & benefiting our breed! We hope to see you there!
